At sites such as warehouses and factories, issues including labor shortages, growing EC demand, fluctuations in shipping volumes, and the effective use of limited space are becoming increasingly serious.

Meanwhile, the current automated warehouse market has been dominated by major companies with large-scale facilities costing several hundred million to several billion yen, putting them out of reach for the mid-sized and small companies that originally need automation. ROMS is a startup founded in 2019 to change this very structure.

Built on the compact design technology and intelligent transport technology cultivated through the development of ultra-compact unmanned stores, our founding business, we deploy automated warehouse systems with an uncompromising commitment to "Made in Japan, fully in-house." With a domestically produced automated warehouse system that enables a small start, we are presenting a new option to the industry as an automated warehouse that can be introduced even at small and mid-sized sites that have not previously been targets for automation.

In 2023, we began full-scale expansion into the logistics warehouse automation field. Adoption has progressed among major domestic logistics operators including Seino Group and NTT Logisco, and the systems are currently in operation at several dozen locations. As "revenue-generating assets in operation, not demos," we continue to prove their value at actual logistics sites, and adoption at manufacturers' factories and warehouses is also progressing.

From 2025 onward, we also entered the U.S. market and established ROMS USA, Inc. (Delaware). Deployment projects in the U.S. are also underway. Domestically, we have built collaborative relationships with major material handling manufacturers and system integrators, further accelerating our domestic expansion.

Furthermore, in August 2026 we announced a next-generation automated warehouse using autonomous lifting robots, expanding the range of irregular spaces and diverse layouts we can accommodate as an automated warehouse that can start with a single bot.

仕事内容Job description You will be involved in the development of RCS, NFC, and Nano-Stream in each area.
You will mainly be responsible for implementation, but design work may also be entrusted to you depending on your preferences and experience.

Requirements definition for flow rate analysis, logistics flow, capacity simulation, etc.

Layout design of the entire storage and conveyance system

Mechanical design of storage and conveyance systems

Creation and management of technical documents such as product specifications and QFD

Parts selection, cost estimation, and bill of materials management

Creation and management of parts drawings and assembly drawings

Stress analysis and strength evaluation using FEM analysis, etc.

Design in accordance with the requirements for each safety category

Installation and start-up of systems at delivery destination sites

Technical support, functional improvement, and maintenance of systems after delivery

応募資格Requirement [Requirements]
2 or more years of experience in mechanical design of industrial machinery using 3D CAD

Experience in structural design of industrial machinery

Experience designing transmission mechanisms using transmission components such as timing belts, chains, and gears

Experience in selecting motors, reducers, sensors, and actuators, and performing capacity calculations

Able to take on work proactively and enjoy it, rather than doing it because you are told to

An attitude of creating new things on your own initiative

Experience with consistent development from upstream to downstream

Able to communicate smoothly with the members around you

Able to proactively ask questions about unclear points

Experience building and using PDM systems

Ability to read electrical drawings
