DevOps Engineer (Quantum Computer Control Systems) (13806)
職種Position R&D / Engineer /Technician (AI, Data)
会社概要Company profile This is with a deep-tech startup developing and commercializing world-leading neutral-atom quantum computing systems, one of the most promising next-generation computing architectures.

The company was established in collaboration with leading quantum physics research groups in Japan and is working toward the practical realization of quantum computers as a next-generation computational platform. Through joint research initiatives with universities, national laboratories, and global technology partners, the team is advancing quantum hardware development for future industrial applications and international markets.

Quantum computing is expected to transform industries such as:

drug discovery
advanced materials design
artificial intelligence
financial optimization
energy systems

Among multiple quantum architectures, the company focuses on neutral-atom quantum computing, widely considered one of the most scalable and promising approaches for large-scale quantum processors.

This role offers a rare opportunity to contribute not only to research infrastructure but also to the real-world deployment and industrialization of next-generation computing technology.
仕事内容Job description Transitioning from research-facility control systems to a production-grade control infrastructure capable of stably operating actual quantum computers.

In this position, you will build the operational infrastructure for our quantum computer control systems from scratch (a 0-to-1 phase). You will establish frameworks for maintenance, monitoring, deployment, and updates across both development and live machine environments.

By automating operations, you will enable senior engineers to move away from daily troubleshooting and focus entirely on next-generation architecture development. Your work will be vital in achieving our long-term goal: a quantum computer capable of continuous, long-duration operations.

Since this is a greenfield project, requirements are not yet fully defined. We welcome professionals who can make sound judgments and steadily build/improve systems amidst evolving conditions.

[Key Responsibilities]
1. CI/CD & Deployment Infrastructure Building
-Design and build CI/CD environments for control software.
-Establish automated build and release systems.
-Design and operate deployment processes.

2. Monitoring & Operations Infrastructure Building
-Design overall control system monitoring and observability.
-Construct alerting systems.
-Set up monitoring infrastructure for laboratory environments, including sensors for temperature, humidity, and vibration.

3. Quality Assurance & Automation
-Build automated testing environments using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).
-Establish automated verification processes for control software changes.
-Automate regression testing and validation workflows.

4. Operational Quality & Reliability Improvement
-Handle incident response and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
-Drive continuous operational improvements.
-Manage deployment configurations and design upgrade/rollback procedures.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
-Collaborate with Network Engineers to operate laboratory network infrastructure (the network design and core operation itself will be handled by the Network Engineer).
-Work closely with the System Architecture Team to improve product-level reliability and advance the realization of next-generation quantum computer architectures.
応募資格Requirement [Required Qualifications]
-5+ years of professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or System Engineering.
-Proven track record of taking ownership of and driving system reliability improvements in production environments.
-Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD environments.
-Experience with build and release automation.
-Experience building and operating monitoring/observability infrastructure (metrics, logs, alerts).
-Experience developing automation and operational tools using Python or equivalent languages.
-Deep knowledge and operational experience with Linux.
-English proficiency sufficient to work effectively within a global team.
-Ability and willingness to proactively learn and catch up on unfamiliar fields (e.g., quantum computing, physics).

[Preferred Qualifications]
-Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
-Experience utilizing containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
-Experience building time-series monitoring infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
-Experience operating scientific experimental equipment, research facilities, or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.
-Fundamental knowledge of networking.
-Experience with high-availability systems or 24/7/365 operations.
-A strong interest or background in quantum computing or physics.
