[Remote-Friendly] QEC Theorist - Quantum Architect (Global Applicants) (13803)
職種Position R&D / Engineer /Technician (AI, Data)
会社概要Company profile This is with a deep-tech startup developing and commercializing world-leading neutral-atom quantum computing systems, one of the most promising next-generation computing architectures.

The company was established in collaboration with leading quantum physics research groups in Japan and is working toward the practical realization of quantum computers as a next-generation computational platform. Through joint research initiatives with universities, national laboratories, and global technology partners, the team is advancing quantum hardware development for future industrial applications and international markets.

Quantum computing is expected to transform industries such as:

drug discovery
advanced materials design
artificial intelligence
financial optimization
energy systems

Among multiple quantum architectures, the company focuses on neutral-atom quantum computing, widely considered one of the most scalable and promising approaches for large-scale quantum processors.

This role offers a rare opportunity to contribute not only to research infrastructure but also to the real-world deployment and industrialization of next-generation computing technology.
仕事内容Job description This role involves developing and implementing designs for codes, qubit layouts, logical operation strategies, and optimal usage of the connectivity advantages of neutral atom devices. We are looking for candidates to actively engage in quantum error correction research and contribute to the wider research community through publication, while also engaging with real devices in collaboration with our Control Systems, Engineering and Software teams to realise the potential of fault-tolerant neutral atom quantum computers.

[Responsibilities]
-Analyse and design fault-tolerant circuits for syndrome measurement and logical operations.
-Optimise protocols for fault-tolerance, taking into consideration hardware constraints like atomic movement.
-Collaborate with other teams to incorporate necessary constraints into protocol design, as well as communicate the software and hardware requirements for fault-tolerant computation.
-Implement quantum error correction on neutral atom hardware.
応募資格Requirement [Required Qualifications]
-PhD or equivalent in Quantum Information, Physics, Computer Science or Mathematics.
-Strong background in fault-tolerance and/or quantum error correction with relevant experience in research publication.
-Ability to work alongside and collaborate with people across the diverse disciplines of engineering, experimental physics and software.

[Preferred Qualifications]
-Experience with any of qLDPC, magic state distillation, fault-tolerant gate synthesis, lattice surgery, circuit compilation or code design.
-Experience programming in Python, Rust, Julia, C++ or similar languages, and familiarity with collaborative programming with Git version control.
-Experience numerically simulating and analysing the performance of error correction protocols.
-Experience collaborating with experimental teams to implement fault-tolerant protocols in hardware, especially in AMO physics.
