会社概要Company profile This is with a deep-tech startup developing and commercializing world-leading neutral-atom quantum computing systems, one of the most promising next-generation computing architectures.

The company was established in collaboration with leading quantum physics research groups in Japan and is working toward the practical realization of quantum computers as a next-generation computational platform. Through joint research initiatives with universities, national laboratories, and global technology partners, the team is advancing quantum hardware development for future industrial applications and international markets.

Quantum computing is expected to transform industries such as:

drug discovery
advanced materials design
artificial intelligence
financial optimization
energy systems

Among multiple quantum architectures, the company focuses on neutral-atom quantum computing, widely considered one of the most scalable and promising approaches for large-scale quantum processors.

This role offers a rare opportunity to contribute not only to research infrastructure but also to the real-world deployment and industrialization of next-generation computing technology.
仕事内容Job description We are seeking an engineer to lead the requirements definition through implementation of real-time control systems for building the world’s first practical neutral-atom quantum computer.
This role sits at the intersection of quantum physics and hardware control software, translating physical quantum operations into executable system-level control logic.

Responsibilities
Define requirements, design specifications, and implement control software that translates physical quantum gate operations into executable hardware instruction sequences
Design interfaces with precision instruments such as:
• lasers
• cameras
• arbitrary waveform generators (AWGs)
• spatial light modulators (SLMs)
Collaborate with quantum physics experiment teams and international engineers to align technical specifications and maintain documentation
Analyze and organize existing control system architectures and support integration into the physical quantum processor platform
Manage milestones and provide progress tracking and risk reporting

Why This Role Is Unique
Rare opportunity to design and implement a quantum computer real-time control system from the ground up (0→1) in a development environment with few precedents worldwide
Work alongside quantum physicists and directly define the boundary between hardware and software control layers
Gain hands-on experience selecting and building state-of-the-art real-time control frameworks
応募資格Requirement Required Qualifications (Must-have)
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
At least 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering or embedded engineering
Experience developing control systems using Python, or system development experience using:
• real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• embedded Linux environments
Experience defining system requirements and writing interface specifications for multi-module integrated systems
Business-level English proficiency for technical communication within a global team
Ability to independently study and understand technical papers and specifications in unfamiliar domains
If working remotely, willingness to travel to Kyoto as needed for on-site validation and troubleshooting of control systems on physical hardware

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-have)
Experience independently reading technical papers in physics or quantum computing
Experience collaborating with international engineering teams on:
• design reviews
• specification alignment
Experience developing or certifying high-reliability systems, such as those used in:
• semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• medical devices
• aerospace systems
• power infrastructure
• transportation systems
