仕事内容Job description We are seeking an Optical Systems Engineer to design and build cutting-edge optical systems from the ground up (0→1) for trapping and controlling neutral atoms using optical tweezers in a next-generation quantum computing platform.

Responsibilities
Design, construction, and optimization of optical systems for:
• atom trapping optical tweezers
• control laser systems
• imaging optics
Integrated system-level design of optics together with surrounding optical and electrical components, including:
• vacuum chambers
• objective lenses
• SLMs (Spatial Light Modulators)
• AOMs (Acousto-Optic Modulators)
• AWGs (Arbitrary Waveform Generators)
• cameras
Performance evaluation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of optical systems, including:
• optical alignment
• aberration correction
• intensity uniformity optimization
Definition and implementation of optical specifications in collaboration with scientists from leading research institutions such as Kyoto University and the Institute for Molecular Science
Design and modification of optical components and mounts using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, including drawing management

応募資格Requirement [Required Qualifications (Must-have)]
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in optical system design and development
Experience designing optical components and mechanical structures using ZEMAX
Experience designing and aligning laser optical systems, including:
• beam shaping
• optical path design
• intensity control
• polarization control
Professional-level Japanese communication skills required for collaboration with scientists and engineers
Ability to independently study and understand technical papers and specifications in unfamiliar domains

[Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-have)]
Experience designing optical systems for vacuum environments or cryogenic environments
Experience reading or conducting research related to:
• atomic physics
• molecular physics
• cold atom systems
• optical trapping
Experience developing high-precision optical systems such as:
• semiconductor lithography equipment
• precision measurement instruments
• medical optical devices
Experience designing optical and mechanical components using CAD tools such as SolidWorks
Hands-on experience integrating systems using:
• AOM (Acousto-Optic Modulators)
• SLM (Spatial Light Modulators)
• AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generators)
Experience conducting technical communication in English with international scientists and engineers
