仕事内容Job description We are seeking a Vacuum Engineer to design and build ultra-high vacuum (UHV) chambers used for cooling and trapping neutral atoms near absolute zero, supporting development from research prototypes through to customer-delivery systems.

Responsibilities
Conceptual design, detailed design, and specification development for ultra-high vacuum (UHV) chambers used in quantum computing systems
Selection and design of pumping systems, including:
• turbo pumps
• ion pumps
• getter pumps
and simulation of achievable vacuum performance
Design of:
• vacuum flanges
• piping
• feedthrough components
including specification of materials, welding methods, and surface treatments
Design and implementation of:
• baking processes
• cleaning procedures
• vacuum performance evaluation during system commissioning
• troubleshooting during startup
Transitioning designs from research prototypes (proof-of-concept chambers) to customer-delivery systems (first-generation and next-generation machines), including documentation development
応募資格Requirement Required Qualifications (Must-have)
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in vacuum equipment design and construction
Experience designing vacuum pumping systems using:
• turbo pumps
• ion pumps
• getter pumps
Experience designing vacuum flanges and process piping (e.g., CF, ICF flanges)
Professional-level Japanese communication skills required for coordination with internal teams and equipment vendors
Ability to independently learn technical requirements in unfamiliar domains and translate them into engineering designs

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-have)
Experience designing and building ultra-high vacuum systems (≤10⁻⁹ Pa)
Experience designing vacuum systems integrated with:
• laser optics
• optical components
Experience designing vacuum systems combined with cryogenic environments (e.g., cryostats, liquid nitrogen systems)
Experience designing large-scale vacuum systems used in:
• semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• particle accelerators
• fusion-related systems
Experience creating 3D CAD vacuum equipment designs using tools such as SolidWorks
Experience conducting technical specification discussions and design reviews in English
