仕事内容Job description This is a position for a Business Developer / Senior Manager tasked with creating new business models with a global perspective and delivering meaningful impact to society.

Leveraging Copy’s exceptional engineers, globally competitive development capabilities, and accumulated knowledge and experience as strategic assets, this role focuses on identifying client challenges and applying Copy’s expertise both technically and commercially to create new business models and solutions that maximize business value.

The team is small and highly skilled, with significant autonomy granted to each member. In a flexible, startup-like environment, you will be responsible for driving business initiatives, making independent decisions, and generating tangible results. With this freedom comes broad responsibilities and the opportunity to directly contribute to business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

Deeply understanding client challenges and proposing tailored solutions: Through thorough hearings, accurately identify the on-site issues and client requirements, analyze their business models and existing systems, and pinpoint the real problems to be solved, then present actionable proposals.

Planning, proposal creation, and internal resource management: Collaborate with the R&D team and engineers, leveraging knowledge of AI and IT in general to develop solutions. Independently create proposals and presentation materials for clients. Lead stakeholder coordination internally, considering feasibility, cost, and implementation schedules.

Business development and marketing/nurturing activities: Participate in initiatives to create client touchpoints for acquiring new leads, attend exhibitions and seminars, and proactively nurture leads from a long-term perspective. Strategize methods for lead generation as needed (cold calling is rarely required).

This role involves taking a holistic view of existing systems, products, and services, identifying how to approach clients’ true challenges, and working closely with engineers and R&D teams to define mission-critical AI solutions alongside clients. While highly challenging, this position offers the opportunity to create new markets, drive business growth, and generate significant societal impact.
応募資格Requirement Requirements

Minimum 5 years of practical experience in corporate sales or business development, preferably with experience at consulting firms or system integrators (SIers)

Experience in alliance sales or direct sales

Proven track record of independently developing clients and driving revenue (new or existing accounts)

Experience in creating proposals and delivering corporate business plans

Ability to design processes and implement systems in sales activities with a focus on reproducibility

Ability to work from the Tokyo office several days per week

Business-level Japanese proficiency

Nice to Haves

Knowledge of AI or software development

Experience in requirement definition or creating system architecture diagrams

Business-level English proficiency

Monthly breakdown:

Base salary: ¥395,838 – ¥540,116

Fixed overtime allowance (for 45 hours): ¥139,162 – ¥189,884

Payment date: End of the month, paid on the 25th of the following month

Performance evaluation: Twice a year

Salary revision: Once a year (May)

Bonus: Twice a year (July/December), amount based on evaluation and company performance

Working Hours

Regular hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (1-hour break)

Flexible start time: 8:00 – 11:30 AM, end time 5:00 – 8:30 PM

8 hours per day

Overtime, night work, and holiday work: Available as per company regulations
