[Company Overview]
A biotechnology company founded as a startup from the University of Tsukuba, it has been particularly noted for its development of crops using genome editing technology. One of its products is tomatoes, the first genome-edited crop in Japan to be licensed for sale and cultivation.
These tomatoes have a higher content of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) than regular tomatoes. GABA is said to be effective in relieving stress and preventing high blood pressure.

最先端技術【ゲノム編集技術】を活用した、海外の種子メーカー / 大規模農家との協業推進を行う業務。
※欧米・アジア・ヨーロッパへ出張 月8日 / 年100日前後あり
※業界未経験OK
【具体的な業務】
ゲノム編集技術を利用した商品(青果物およびその加工品)の海外での事業開発に関する業務
・グローバル企業とのアライアンス業務
主に欧米・アジア・ヨーロッパの海外企業との提携推進
(ゲノム編集技術関連のビジネスの紹介等)
・海外マーケットでのプロジェクトマネジメント業務
海外企業 / 海外の大型農家とのプロジェクト計画・実行
(ゲノム編集技術を用いた商品のライセンス、ビジネスのリード
(ブランディング、商品開発、生産委託 等)
・海外でのマーケット拡大の計画・実行
現地生産物の商流整備から拡販までのバリューチェーンの構築
・海外開催の商談会、会議、学会などへの参加
弊社の紹介、事業に関する情報収集、ネットワーキング等
*This position is available only for people residing in Japan
Work to promote collaboration with overseas seed manufacturers/large-scale farmers using cutting-edge technology "genome editing technology".
*Business trips to Europe, America, Asia, and Europe: 8 days per month/approximately 100 days per year
*No experience in the industry required
[Specific duties]
Work related to overseas business development for products using genome editing technology (fruit and vegetables and their processed products)
- Alliance work with global companies
Promoting partnerships mainly with overseas companies in Europe, America, Asia, and Europe
(Introducing businesses related to genome editing technology, etc.)
- Project management work in overseas markets
Planning and executing projects with overseas companies/large-scale overseas farmers
(Licensing products using genome editing technology, leading businesses
(Branding, product development, production outsourcing, etc.)
- Planning and executing market expansion overseas
Building a value chain from establishing commercial distribution channels for local products to expanding sales
- Participating in overseas business meetings, conferences, academic conferences, etc.
Introducing our company, collecting information about the business, networking, etc. |
