■会社の強み
20年以上前から印刷製本工場の自動化を掲げ、自動制御に取り組んできました。印刷の後工程には主に 紙折り>ページ揃え>針金綴じ>糊綴じ>断裁 という5つの工程があります。
これらは本来用途が異なり、繋ぎ合わせることが難しいとされてきましたが、創業より培ってきた技術力を活かし、5つの工程を組み合わせた機器の自動化を実現しています。製本機器における競合メーカーは世界に10社程度ありますが、5つの工程におよぶ自動化を実装しているのは当社のみです。
■今後の事業展開
活字離れ・書籍離れと言われる昨今ですが、最近では「デジタル疲れ」の傾向も見られ印刷総量は増えないものの、印刷の仕事、本に関わる仕事は社会がある限り必要とされ続け、今後も無くなることはありません。
そのため、当社が創業当初より目指してきた「必要な分だけ生産する多品種少量生産」の需要はますます高まると考えています。

We are a company that develops, manufactures, and sells machines that process paper such as books. As shown by the fact that we were selected as one of the "100 Global Niche Top Companies" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2020, we have expanded globally in a very niche field and have gained the top share in the world.
■Company Strengths
For more than 20 years, we have been working on automatic control, aiming to automate printing and binding factories. There are mainly five processes in the post-printing process: paper folding > page alignment > wire binding > glue binding > cutting.
These processes originally have different uses and were considered difficult to connect, but by utilizing the technical capabilities we have cultivated since our founding, we have realized the automation of equipment that combines the five processes. There are about 10 competing manufacturers of bookbinding equipment around the world, but we are the only company that has implemented automation of five processes.
■Future business development
These days, people are said to be moving away from print and books, but there is a recent trend of "digital fatigue" and the total amount of printing is not increasing, but printing work and work related to books will continue to be needed as long as society exists, and will not disappear in the future.
For this reason, we believe that the demand for "high-mix, low-volume production, producing only what is needed," which has been our goal since the company was founded, will continue to grow.
However, times are changing rapidly these days. The combination of IT and machinery is essential. Therefore, we are promoting further digitalization of printing and binding processes, and aiming to create products that can quickly capture and reflect changes in the times by utilizing IoT and image processing.
