【About HR Tech department】
They’re the creators of the award winning skill evaluation and training platform. They are currently tackling the exciting mission of modernizing Japan's hiring culture and help companies build and maintain strong engineering teams. Through this year and beyond they plan to expand their product lineup, enhance their UI/UX, roll out new microservices, and build new features which they hope you’ll be a big part in the planning and building.

The company aims to provide the missing link that their clients need to scout, hire, and train world-class engineers. They are profitable, privately owned, and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Their clients include some of the biggest names in Japan. They have a diverse team from all corners of the world, and they are looking for a skilled Project Manager to help them expand their service, a platform that helps companies evaluate and train technical engineering skills.
【Responsibilities】
・Act as Project Manager and Scrum Master in a diverse, Japanese and English bilingual development team.
・Define and manage project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
・Establish a communication strategy to update stakeholders on the progress of the project.
・Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
・Perform risk management to mitigate potential threats, optimize opportunities, and safeguard organizational objectives.
・Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
・Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, stakeholders, designers, and other development teams to align goals and deliverables.
・Oversee design, development, and testing to meet quality standards, best practices, and customer requirements.
・Continuously improve engineering processes and tools for increased efficiency, quality, and overall productivity.

・A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering projects, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
・Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a culturally diverse team
・A proven track record of managing successful projects
・Business level proficiency in both English and Japanese
【Nice-to-have】
・Working knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies with a focus of maximizing value output (e.g., minimum viable product)
・Professional software engineering experience
・Experience building new processes and building project teams from zero

・Identify and remove blockers that impede the development team.
