Would you like to develop the world's most accurate and highest throughput transcriptome analysis technology?
The company is looking for researchers who will work with us to develop platform technologies for data-driven drug discovery and the practical application of regenerative medicine.

The single-cell transcriptome analysis technology of the company won the No. 1 accuracy score at the 2020 International Benchmark Competition. In addition, Their large-scale bulk transcriptome analysis technology boasts several dozen times the throughput of conventional RNA-seq technology.

However, there is still room for development of these technologies, and they would like to further evolve them into technologies that stand out in the life science industry and accelerate the development of new drugs for patients with intractable diseases.
They are looking for motivated researchers who want to contribute to patients by developing world-first technologies.

[Specifically]
- Research to improve the quantitative and qualitative throughput of single-cell and large-scale transcriptome analysis technology, and achieve efficiency at least one order of magnitude higher than the current level
- Research to advance component technologies through laboratory automation and significantly improve the data acquisition process
- Development of technology to expand acquired data, such as the introduction of high-throughput technology to simultaneously measure omics information other than transcriptome
- Development of new single-cell and large-scale transcriptome analysis technology

[Other ongoing research projects at our company]
- In-house research on cell control that integrates single-cell and large-scale transcriptome analysis technology and cell culture optimization technology to improve culture condition screening throughput by more than two orders of magnitude compared to the current level
- In-house research to acquire genetic profile data and metadata of "multiple types of cell lines x various cell states" and build our own integrated database
- Collaborative research with other companies (including academia) that conduct phenotypic drug discovery and clinical biomarker discovery using single-cell and large-scale transcriptome data
- Collaborative research with other companies (including academia) that conduct quality marker discovery for cell medicines and optimization of cell culture conditions

・ Required Japanese ability: Business
・Equivalent to a doctorate in science and engineering
・A passion for developing new cutting-edge technology
In addition to above, more than 5 years of practical research experience in any of the following:
・Experience in molecular biology experiments (experience in building new experimental and assay systems is essential)
・Building biomolecular measurement and analysis systems
・Research on transcriptome
・Omics research and analysis, including proteome, lipidome, and metabolome
・Building high-throughput screening systems
・Laboratory automation

[Preferred requirements]
・Development of reagents, molecular biology research kits, diagnostic agents, clinical diagnostic agents, in vitro diagnostic agents, and test kits
・Knowledge of enzyme reactions
・Experience in high-quality nucleic acid extraction from biological samples
・Knowledge of statistical analysis, Bayesian optimization, experimental design, and quality engineering
